Meet the Team

 

Chuck Stefanski, Co–Owner

Chuck Stefanski is a Northeast Ohio native; he graduated from the Medina County Career Center in 2003 from the Automotive Technician Program. He continued his education and graduated from the University of Northwestern Ohio in 2006 with an Associates degree in High Performance Motorsports.

Chuck specializes in LS tuning and HP Tuners, he is also a founder of Big 3 Racing.

Chuck recently finished updating his '81 Grand Safari Wagon, he made it to Sick Week 2024 untested with a fresh build and managed to hold a 7.74 average with minimal issues. Since then it has completed Sick Week 2025, Dragweek 2024 and 2025 with averages in the 7.10s. It has also ran a 6.85 at over 185mph and dipped into the 4.30s in the 1/8th. It has made over 2100hp on our Mainline hub dyno and he races it every chance he gets.

 

 Rick Trunkett, Co-owner

Rick Trunkett is a Northeast Ohio native; he graduated from the Medina County Career Center in 2003 from the Automotive Technician Program. He continued his education and graduated from the University of Northwestern Ohio in 2006 with an Associates degree in High Performance Motorsports.

Rick specializes in Ford EFI tuning, forced induction, and is a Holley EFI Factory Trained tuner; Rick is one of the founders of Big 3 Racing.

Rick is a Mopar enthusiast, his stock appearing 1972 Plymouth Duster helped bring in business to Big 3 Racing and continues to turn heads as an extremely fast stock suspension, Mopar powered streetcar. His Duster makes over 2100HP and is running into the 7.60s at over 185mph.

 

 

Bob Hess Jr., Co-Owner

Bob Hess Jr. is a Northeast Ohio native; he graduated from the Medina County Career Center in 2003 from the Automotive Technician Program. He continued his education and graduated from the University of Northwestern Ohio in 2006 with an Associates degree in High Performance Motorsports.

Bob specializes in Engine Building and various other jobs at Big 3 Racing; He is also one of the founders of Big 3 Racing.

As a Mopar enthusiast, Bob owns a single turbo Gen 3 Hemi powered Foxbody. It currently makes over 1700HP, propelling him into the 7.30s at over 190mph. He has also survived numerous Drag-n-Drives while not towing a trailer behind his car. He also owns a 2000 Dodge Viper GTS with Ported Heads, cam, and a 200 shot of nitrous, helping it make over 700whp.
